Welcome to our 2022 Christmas Tree & Wreath Fundraiser!
The StonyPoint High School Tiger Band and Sapphire Guard is one of the largest student organizations on campus with 120 students involved. The Band and Guard consists of students from the student body of Stony Point High School. The Sapphire Guard lends an additional visual element to the music and drill (the shapes made by marchers on a field) created by the band. Modern color guard incorporates dance, character, costuming, and props into performances. The combination creates a outstanding visual display of musicianship and artistic performances.
Students from band develop many positive characteristics such as discipline, cooperation, problem solving, creativity, respectfulness, leadership, and creativity. These traits will serve our students throughout high school and beyond.
By supporting The Stony Point Tiger Band and Sapphire Guard, you are assisting us with:
- Providing new instruments and instrument repair/maintenance for existing equipment.
- Offsetting travel expenses for competitions, as well as registration fees for competitions.
- Providing meals for the band during long practices, rehearsals, and at competitions.
- Paying for clinicians to observe and impart their expert knowledge to our students.
- Purchasing supplies to build props, make flags, and supply costumes for the marching shows, color guard, winter guard, and indoor percussion teams.
- Keeping program fees affordable - the most affordable in our district.
- Providing support for our feeder middle school band programs, who are vital to our future.
