What is your favorite Christmas memory? Many of my favorite Christmas memories were created as my family worked together to decorate our Christmas tree. I always loved getting to make decisions about where each and every ornament would hang while we ate yummy snacks and listened to Christmas music. As an adult, little has changed. In a world of chaos, work, and busy schedules, the time I get to spend with my family during the Christmas season is time that I cherish.

Every year, over 30 million Christmas trees are purchased and taken home in the United States. There are programs like Toys for Tots and Blue & Brown Santa that bring toys and meals to the homes of tens of millions of families. Less common are organizations that provide Christmas trees to those same families. This is why we at Brungot Farms created our program, Operation Christmas Spirit (OCS) to bring Christmas trees & basic Christmas decorations to help families who are less fortunate build memories that will last a lifetime. In just two years, Operation Christmas Spirit has provided 45 Austin-area families with Christmas trees and decorations and this Christmas season we’re setting the bar even higher!

Just like many holiday organizations, the success of this program is based on the donations that we receive and the funds that we are able to raise. Our goal this year is to raise $5,000. This money will go directly into purchasing the trees and stands as well as financial support for family holiday food boxes. If you help us reach our goal, we will be able to help 50 families in the community celebrate Christmas and create lifelong memories.

 “An Evening with Santa”:  This one-of-a-kind event debuted during the 2015 Christmas season and was such a huge success that we are bringing it back this year, better than ever! This is not your standard Santa photo session. On Sunday December 10^th, Santa Claus will put on his suit and host an evening party of tree & cookie decorating, storytelling, and singing. We promise that when you leave, both children and adults will be raving about the fun and will leave with a renewed belief that Santa is real!
